Mr Ravala Beboarimisa, the recently appointed Minister of Environment, Ecology, Sea and Forests of Madagascar, visited the CITES Secretariat on 23 March. CITES implementation in Madagascar and measures that could be implemented to combat illegal trade in rosewood from the country were discussed.
