This third generation of the CITES website was officially launched on 18 June 2001 and is designed as an extensive source of information for the CITES community as well as for the general public.

For best viewing, your screen dimension should be set to at least 800 x 600 pixels with a minimum colour resolution of 16 bits. Our website is provided in the three working languages of the Convention, i.e. English, French and Spanish. Click on the links at the upper right-hand corner of the home page to switch to the desired language.

We recommend you use recent versions of Web browsers. You will also need the Adobe Reader to view documents in PDF format. You can download the necessary programs for free by clicking on the icons below.
