Document SPWG Doc. 1 has been produced by the Secretariat on the basis of document SC53 Doc. 6.1, as amended by the Standing Committee at its 53rd meeting (Geneva, June-July 2005), to serve as a basis for the work of the Strategic Plan Working Group.

At its 54th meeting, the Standing Committee considered the draft Strategic Plan for the period 2008-2013 presented in document SC54 Doc. 6.1. It was agreed that any comments on this draft should be submitted to the Secretariat by 15 November 2006, for consideration by the Strategic Plan Working Group in preparing a document for consideration at the 14th meeting of the Conference of the Parties.
