Celebrating the 40th anniversary of CITES
CITES was signed in Washington, D.C., the United States of America, on 3 March 1973 following the adoption of the text of the
Convention by a Plenipotentiary Conference to Conclude an International Convention on Trade in Certain Species of Wildlife
which took place from 12 February to 2 March 1973 in Washington, D.C.
