New staff members of the Secretariat

After a careful selection process, the Secretariat will be reinforced with two new staff members in its Scientific Support Unit.

David Morgan (44) has been appointed Head of the Unit.

David is British, speaks fluent French and has a long experience in CITES scientific and implementation matters at both the national and international levels. Many people will also know him for having chaired Committee I at the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CITES held in Santiago de Chile last year. David will join us in February/March of next year.

 
Milena Sosa Schmidt (28) will join the Secretariat's Scientific Support Unit early next year. Milena is Argentine, works for the CITES Authorities in Argentina and, besides Spanish, speaks fluent English.
