In view of the retirement of Willem Wijnstekers, Secretary-General
of CITES, on 1 May 2010, UNEP has published a vacancy announcement
for his succession.
Parties are requested to bring this announcement to the attention
of a wide range of possible candidates. The deadline for application
is 13 December 2009.
