A vacancy has arisen for a key post in the Secretariat's Scientific Support Unit. This is to replace Tom de Meulenaer who will be moving shortly to become coordinator of the MIKE programme. Although the postholder will deal primarily with zoological matters, the candidates will need the flexibility to work in other disciplines. The postholder will play a vital role in the Secretariat's work on the Review of Significant Trade, fulfilling other instructions from the Conference of the Parties on scientific themes, supporting the Animals Committee and representing the Secretariat at meetings of the Conference of the Parties, the Standing Committee as well as meetings with stakeholders and at the training workshops.
