CONCERNING:


                  Photographs for a Publication


1.The  Customs Co-operation Council and the CITES Secretariat will
  soon  publish  a  brochure entitled Customs and Wild  Fauna  and
  Flora.

2.For  that  purpose, the Secretariat is seeking  photographs,  in
  black and white or in colour, on the following subjects:

     ˇCustoms  officers  (preferably in  uniform)  checking  CITES
     specimens or discovering a fraud related to CITES
     ˇfraud techniques
     ˇco-operation  between  Customs  and  the  CITES   Management
     Authority
     ˇpublications on CITES by the Customs Services.

3.The  Secretariat wishes to receive such photographs,  before  30
  April 1993, in the following forms:

     a)   negatives (black and white or colour)
     b)   slides (transparencies)
     c)   glossy enprints of at least 10 x 15 cm.

  Each  photograph  should be sent with a short  caption  and  the
  author's  name  which  should appear in the publication.  Unless
  expressly requested, the photographs will not be returned.

4.The Secretariat thanks in advance the Management Authorities and
  Customs Services which comply with this request.
