No. 734 Lausanne, 1 March 1993 CONCERNING: Transmission of Documents 1.On 9 February 1993, the Secretariat sent by diplomatic channel a Notification to CITES contracting or signatory States to communicate to them that two of the proposals from Australia for amendments to Appendices I and II of the Convention for consideration by postal procedures were approved and the third withdrawn. A copy of that Notification was sent to the Management Authorities on the same day. 2.The Secretariat hereby transmits to the Parties the following pages of the Directory sent with Notification to the Parties No. 139 of 5 June 1980. It contains the MG watermark. It replaces the one a copy of which was sent with Notification to the Parties No. 570 of 31 January 1990) Sudan Export/Re-export/Import Permit (This form, in use since 15 January 1993, replaces the one a copy of which was sent with Notification to the Parties No. 262 of 18 July 1983) (The size of the original form is 31.9 x 20.6 cm. Green ink is used for the seal of the Management Authority) Tunisia Export/Re-export/Import/Other Permit (This form, in use since 1 January 1993, replaces the one a copy of which was sent with Notification to the Parties No. 273 of 20 September 1983) (The size of the original form is 30.6 x 20.9 cm) 5.The Parties are informed that they will receive soon, direct from Cambridge, a free copy of Guidelines for Legislation to Implement CITES by Cyrille de Klemm, a work prepared within the framework of a joint project of the IUCN Environmental Law Centre and the CITES Secretariat. The Secretariat takes this opportunity to thank the author, the IUCN Environmental Law Centre and those who funded the project for their contributions to a work which will certainly be useful to many Parties and non- party States.
