CONCERNING:


                     THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

               Export of Specimens of Felis lynx


1.The   Management  Authority  of  the  Russian  Federation   has
  informed  the  Secretariat that it has established  a  national
  quota on the export of specimens of Felis lynx at the level  of
  2,500 animals for 1994.

2.The export quota for 1993 was 2,800 animals.

3.These  quotas relate only to the Russian Federation and not  to
  any  other  State  in  the Commonwealth of Independent  States,
  many  of  which prohibit the capture of and trade in  specimens
  of Felis lynx.

4.The  present Notification replaces Notification to the  Parties
  No. 745 of 7 May 1993.
