CONCERNING:


          Ninth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties

                Registration and Reservation Forms
  Provisional Agenda, Working Programmes and Rules of Procedure


1.The Secretariat hereby transmits to the Parties one Registration
  Form  for  the  ninth meeting of the Conference of  the  Parties
  (Broward  County  Convention  Center,  Fort  Lauderdale,  United
  States  of  America, 7-18 November 1994). One Registration  form
  per  participant should be filled in and sent to the Secretariat
  as  soon as possible. Parties that, for financial reasons,  will
  be  unable  to  send at least two delegates to the  meeting  are
  requested  also  to  inform the CITES  Secretariat  as  soon  as
  possible.

2.Arrangements   have   been   made   to   provide   complimentary
  transportation  from Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports  to  the
  hotels  for  passengers arriving November 4, 5 and 6. Passengers
  departing on November 18, 19 and 20 will benefit from  the  same
  kind  of  transportation from the hotels to these airports.  Any
  delegate  interested in making use of this  means  of  transport
  should  fill in the attached Complimentary Ground Transportation
  form (blue) and mail or fax it direct to MKI.

3.A  hotel  plan  of Fort Lauderdale, Information on  the  various
  hotel  accommodation  available,  and  a  Hotel  Booking/Airline
  Reservation  Request  form  (yellow)  are  also  attached.   Any
  delegate  who  wishes to book through MKI Travel and  Conference
  Management Inc. should fill in and mail or fax the attached form
  direct to MKI.

4.In  Fort  Lauderdale, delegates who book a room in  one  of  the
  hotels  named  on  the  attached list will  benefit  from  daily
  complimentary  shuttle transportation from/to the hotel  to/from
  the Conference Center.

5.Finally,   the   Secretariat  hereby  transmits  the   following
  Conference documents:

  - Agenda (provisional) (Doc. 9.1)
  - Working Programme (provisional) (Doc. 9.2)
  - Working Programme of Committee I (provisional) (Doc. 9.2.1)
  - Working Programme of Committee II (provisional) (Doc. 9.2.2)
  - Rules of Procedure (provisional) (Doc. 9.3).

  Regarding the Rules of Procedure, please note that only Rule 15,
  paragraph  (3),  has been changed, by decision of  the  Standing
  Committee, from the Rules for the eighth meeting (Doc. 8.3).

Further information on the ninth meeting of the Conference of  the
Parties will be provided at a later stage.
