                       Document Doc. 9.41


1.In  accordance  with  Resolution Conf.  8.20,  adopted  at  the
  eighth  meeting of the Conference of the Parties (Kyoto, 1992),
  the  Secretariat  is sending herewith a copy of  document  Doc.
  9.41 on the New Criteria for Amendment of Appendices I and  II.
  This  document  includes, in its Annex  3,  the  revised  draft
  resolution  prepared  by the Standing Committee  and  submitted
  for consideration by the Conference of the Parties.

2.Annex  4  to document Doc. 9.41, to be prepared by the Chairmen
  of  the  Animals  and Plants Committees, will be  sent  to  the
  Parties as soon as possible.
