Notification to the Parties

CONCERNING:

MEXICO

"Especies en Peligro, A.C."

1. The Secretariat has been consulted several times by Parties on the bona fides of a Mexican organization interested in wildlife. The organization is called Especies en Peligro, A.C. and its director is Mr David Ibarra.

2. The Management Authority of Mexico, in response to questions from the CITES Secretariat has requested that all Parties be informed that "all requests for specimens or financial support from Mr David Ibarra or the Association Especies en Peligro, A.C. must be rejected because this organization has not complied with the Mexican laws regarding operations of this kind".

3. However, as the Secretariat has a file on the activities of Mr David Ibarra and Especies en Peligro, A.C., the Parties are requested to inform the Secretariat if any request is received from his organization for wild specimens and/or financial support for its activities in Mexico, so that the CITES Management Authority of Mexico can be kept informed.
