No. 882 Geneva, 19 October 1995 CONCERNING: IDENTIFICATION MANUAL Transmission of Data Sheets 1.The Secretariat is sending to the Parties under separate cover the following material for insertion in the yellow binders of the English Identification Manual: a) first set of data sheets + Codes A-213.002.001.001 (Pandion haliaetus) and A- 213.004.001.001 (Sagittarius serpentinus) are replacement sheets (the information on the reverse of the sheets sent previously was inadvertently interchanged) + Codes A-211.004.006.003 to A-214.003.001.001 to be inserted in Volume 2 + Codes A-219.001.005.003a to A-219.001.005.012 to be inserted in Volume 2a b) second set of data sheets + Codes A-303.008.000.001 to A-303.008.063.038 to be inserted in Volume 3 (Please note that the title of sheet A- 303.008.000.002 should be Synonyms and not Synonyma) + Code A-829.003.001.001 to be inserted in Volume 3a c) third set of data sheets (colour sheets) + Code A-303.008.000.007 (8 pages) to be inserted in Volume 3 d) new binder for Volume 3a Therefore Volume 3 is to be split into two binders. Volume 3 should contain only Reptilia, i.e. codes starting with A-300, while Volume 3a should contain the other taxa previously in Volume 3, i.e. codes starting with A-400 and higher numbers e) title sheets + for Volume 3: "Reptilia" + for Volume 3a: "Amphibia/Pisces/Invertebrata". 2.The Secretariat is also sending under separate cover an update of the complete index of all the volumes concerning Fauna, and alphabetical lists of information sheets and species. Please check your volumes to see if you have received all the pages listed on this index. 3.Parties that have more than one copy (up to seven) of the Identification Manual will receive the updates for the additional free sets. Parties that have purchased sets in addition to these will receive an invoice with this mailing asking them to pay for the updates, at the cost of CHF 200.00 per set [covering the new binder (Volume 3a) and 200 data sheets] postage and packaging included. Upon receipt of the payment, the Secretariat will send the updates and the index. 4.Finally, the Secretariat wishes to thank the Governments of France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland for their financial contributions for the production of the Identification Manual and for its translation into various languages.
