No. 897 Geneva, 12 February 1996 CONCERNING: 13th Meeting of the CITES Animals Committee 1.The Secretariat has the honour to inform the Parties that the Animals Committee will meet in the FLORET Congress Centre of Pruhonice, Czech Republic, from 23 to 27 September 1996. 2.The Parties that wish to include specific items on the Agenda of the meeting must send their request and accompanying documentation to the Chairman of the Committee before 23 June 1996. They include breakfast. However, they exclude a 15% tax. The current exchange rate is 1 USD = 27,1 CZK. The participants should book their rooms direct with the hotel, mentioning "Booked in the name of the Institute of Ornamental Gardening". All the hotels are very close to the Congress Centre. Pruhonice is a small town located approximately 20 km south of Prague. Should all the hotels become full, the participants could book rooms in Prague. Public bus transport between the city of Prague and Pruhonice is available. In order that bookings may be completed, we would appreciate it if you would inform us whether you intend to participate in the Animals Committee meeting by filling in the attached form, and faxing it back to the CITES Secretariat AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, but no later than 31 March 1996. 5.The Congress Centre will provide midday and evening meals, and refreshments (eg. tea and coffee) at very reasonable prices (for instance a large meal for USD 4). 6.Information concerning visas and transport (Prague-Pruhonice and Prague airport-Pruhonice) will be provided at a later stage. 7.The Chairman of the Animals Committee, the Management Authority of the Czech Republic and the Secretariat are doing their utmost to provide simultaneous interpretation services during the meeting.
