MALI

Loss of CITES Security Stamps

1. The CITES Management Authority of Mali has informed the Secretariat that, in late December 1995, security stamps with serial numbers from ML9117501 to ML9118100 (which were sent by the Secretariat on 15 December 1995) were lost from the postal office in Bamako. Therefore, the Parties are requested to check the serial numbers of security stamps affixed to export permits issued by Mali or by other countries of the region, to ensure that these security stamps are not used, in order to prevent possible frauds.

2. The Secretariat would appreciate being informed of any discovery of the use of any of the security stamps indicated above.
