Notification to the Parties

CONCERNING:

Marking of Caviar Exported from Azerbaijan and Kazakstan

1. The Secretariat transmits to the Parties herewith details of the systems used by Azerbaijan and Kazakstan for marking of containers of sturgeon caviar for export.

2. It should be noted that, in Kazakstan, marking of tins containing sturgeon caviar complies with State standard 11771-93, p.1.17.4, and conventional marks are put in two lines on the bottom of tins, as follows:

First line: date of production (decade, month, year)

Decade - one figure - 1, 2, 3
Month - two figures
Year - one figure, being the last figure of the year
 Second line: number given to a worker - one or two figures. 3. The Secretariat has received colour copies of the photographs appearing on the accompanying pages and can provide colour copies to Parties that request them for enforcement purposes.
