CONCERNING:
Ninth meeting of the Plants Committee
1. In Notification to the Parties No. 1998/60 of 20 November 1998, the Secretariat informed the Parties of the date and venue of the ninth meeting of the Plants Committee: 7-11 June 1999 in Darwin, Australia. The Secretariat herewith provides further details of this meeting.
2. The meeting will be held in the Carlton Hotel, The Esplanade, Darwin. Details of hotels within walking distance from this hotel will be provided to those who return the registration form attached to this Notification.
3. Also attached to this Notification to the Parties is a draft agenda for the meeting. Parties that wish to add items to the agenda are requested to inform the Secretariat and to indicate whether they intend to prepare a working document on the subject.
4. Documents to be considered at the meeting should be provided to the Secretariat at least 60 days before the meeting, that is before 5 April 1999.
5. Parties interested in attending this meeting or in obtaining further details of the subjects for discussion are invited to contact the Secretariat or to contact the Chairman direct at the following address:

6. Observers from non-governmental organizations may participate in the meeting at the invitation of the Chairman.
7. Simultaneous interpretation in the three working languages of the Convention will be provided for the duration of the meeting.
