CONCERNING:

Memoranda of Understanding

1. The CITES Secretariat has concluded two memoranda of understanding: one with the General Secretariat of ICPO-Interpol and the other with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement / Clark R. Bavin National Fish and Wildlife Forensic Laboratory. These memoranda were signed by Professor Reuben Olembo, Interim Secretary-General of CITES, and, respectively, the Secretary General of ICPO-Interpol and the Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, on 15 October 1998, at a ceremony during the third International Conference on Environmental Crime, at Interpol Headquarters, Lyon, France.
