CONCERNING:
Strategic Plan of the Convention
1. At its 40th meeting (London, March 1998), the Standing Committee approved a procedure for the preparation of a Strategic Plan for the Convention and established a working group on this subject.
2. At the 41st meeting of the Committee (Geneva, February 1999), a proposed framework for the Strategic Plan and a proposed process and schedule for developing the Plan were considered.
3. At the request of the Standing Committee, the Secretariat is hereby circulating to all Parties a copy of the document that was presented to the Standing Committee (Doc. SC.41.4).
4. The Parties are invited to consider this document and to send their comments to the Secretariat, to be received by 12 April 1999.
