CONCERNING:

Control of operations breeding Appendix-I species in captivity
(continuation)

 1. The Management Authority of Singapore has approved one application to register a captive-breeding operation and, in accordance with Resolution Conf. 8.15 Annex 2, has applied to the Secretariat for the inclusion of this operation in the 'Register of operations breeding specimens of Appendix-I species in captivity for commercial purposes'.

2. The operation under consideration is the following:

3. As the above operation breeds a species that is not yet included in the Secretariat's Register, the Secretariat, in accordance with Resolution Conf. 8.15 Annex 3, has referred the application to appropriate experts for advice. In addition, the Secretariat is notifying the Parties of the application and will supply copies (in English - the language in which it was provided) to Parties that enquire about it.

4. Any comments or objections to the registration of the above-mentioned operations must be received by the Secretariat within a 120-day period, i.e. before 21 July 2000. After that date, the Secretariat will follow the procedure described in Resolution Conf. 8.15 Annex 3.

5. At the request of the Management Authority of Germany, the operation of Mr Wiard Fischer, registration No.: A-DE-503, has been deleted from the Register.
