Notifications to the Parties

CONCERNING:

CITES Directory

1. The CITES Directory was first distributed with Notification to the Parties No. 139, of 5 June 1980. It contains in a single document information communicated by the Secretariat pursuant to Article IX, paragraph 3, of the Convention, and limited additional information regarding each Party.

2. To enable the Directory to be maintained up-to-date, it was produced in a loose-leaf format. The Secretariat regularly distributes new and replacement pages for the Directory.

3. To ensure that all Parties have a complete copy of the Directory, the Secretariat will be sending to the Parties (in the weeks following the dispatch of this Notification) a ring-binder containing all of the current Directory pages. New and replacement pages will continue to be sent regularly with Notifications to the Parties.

4. Each Party is urged to check the relevant pages of the newly distributed Directory and to inform the Secretariat of any necessary correction. Future changes should also be communicated to the Secretariat as expeditiously as possible.
