Notification to the Parties

CONCERNING:

CITES brochure

1. The Secretariat has produced a general CITES brochure in the three languages of the Convention. It has been designed as a general awareness-raising tool for use in workshops and for distribution to individuals and organizations from different sectors.

2. A copy of this brochure is being provided herewith to Parties and a small number of additional copies can be made available, should a Party wish to make use of the brochure at the national level.

3. The Secretariat is considering the preparation of additional material that might be targeted to specific audiences, e.g. tourists or the transport industry. The Secretariat welcomes suggestions for improving the current brochure and for developing similar material.
