CONCERNING:

Election of regional members of the Standing Committee

Corrigendum

1. With Notification to the Parties No. 2002/018 of 9 April 2002, the Secretariat transmitted to the Parties a list of the current regional members of the Standing Committee with annotations indicating the members whose term ends at the close of the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP12).

2. Unfortunately two mistakes were made with regard to the annotations relative to the timing of replacement of Standing Committee members and the Secretariat is hereby transmitting a corrected version of this list. The only States due to be replaced at the close of CoP12 are:

Burkina Faso Africa

Saudi Arabia Asia

Panama Central and South America and the Caribbean

Italy and Czech Republic Europe.

3. The mistakes have already been corrected on the electronic versions of Notification No. 2002/018 available on the Secretariat’s website.

4. The Secretariat apologizes for these errors.

Regionally elected committee members and alternate members

Members and alternate members whose term ends at the close of the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties are annotated with the letter ‘R’ to the left of the name.
