1. Registration

Formal registration of participants will be carried out in the 'Centro de Extensión' and will start on Tuesday 29 October 2002. The badges that will be delivered take time to be issued as they include an electronic photograph taken on site, therefore participants are urged to register as soon as they arrive.

2. Meeting rooms reservations

Information about the reservation of meeting rooms and office space is available on the CoP12 Chilean website (http://www.citescop12.cl), in the section 'Reserva de Salas'. You can also contact:

The Government of Chile will not guarantee availability of space after 15 September 2002, as it will then release all the space that has not been reserved by delegations yet.

3. Visas

The Secretariat wishes to draw the attention of participants to the fact that, at the request of the Government of Chile, the deadline to send the form Request for assistance to obtain a visa has been changed to 15 September 2002, instead of 3 October 2002.

4. Information about facilities

A wealth of information about the conference facilities, the city of Santiago, the country, etc., can be found on the Chilean CoP12 website mentioned above. The website is in Spanish and, partly, in English and French.
