| No. 2003/006 |
Geneva, 7 February 2003
|
CONCERNING:
BANGLADESH
Withdrawal of the recommendation to suspend trade
- In Notification to the Parties No. 2002/064 of 19 December 2002, the Secretariat advised Parties of the Standing Committee’s recommendation to suspend trade with certain countries that had not provided adequate justification for their failure to provide annual reports for three consecutive years within the deadline established in Resolution Conf. 11.17 (Rev. CoP12).
- Bangladesh was mistakenly included in this group of Parties, and had in fact, submitted to the Secretariat annual reports for the years 1996 to 2001 on 1 November 2002.
- The Secretariat is therefore withdrawing, with immediate effect, the recommendation to suspend trade with Bangladesh and regrets any inconvenience this may have caused.
