Communication with CITES Management Authorities

Malaysia has designated several Management Authorities to the Secretariat. Their details are contained in the CITES Directory and are also available on the CITES website in the section ‘National contacts’. Its principal Management Authority has asked the Secretariat to encourage persons who wish to communicate with Malaysia regarding permit confirmation to check carefully the nature of the trade involved and the geographical area to which it relates. They should then contact the relevant Management Authority from the list provided. This will avoid unnecessary delays caused by the principal Management Authority having to forward communications.
