Notification to the Parties

CONCERNING:

Trade in toothfish

1. At its 12th meeting (Santiago, 2002), the Conference of the Parties adopted Decision 12.57 directing Parties to report to the Secretariat by the end of 2003 "their use of the Dissostichus Catch Document used by CCAMLR, and their verification requirements for such Catch Documents".

2. The Secretariat has not received any such reports to date and would like to remind Parties that the reporting deadline for Decision 12.57 is 31 December 2003.
