Notification to the Parties

CONCERNING:

Proceedings of the meetings of the Conference of the Parties

1. Starting with the 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP12, Santiago, 2002), in order to minimize costs, proceedings of meetings of the Conference of the Parties will no longer be printed. They will instead be published on the CITES website, of which updated copies are periodically provided to the Parties on CD-ROM.

2. The Proceedings of CoP12 have been published on the CITES website in the Official documents section under Conference of the Parties as well as under Resolutions, Decisions and Appendices.

3. In an effort to make documents readily available to as wide a public as possible, the Secretariat intends to phase in proceedings of earlier meetings of the Conference of the Parties, on the CITES website, provided they are available in electronic format. It has already included the proceedings of CoP11.
